Universal Robots: the assembly and sealing of glass fish aquariums.
While dispensing lubricants and sealants are common applications for robots and
cobots, most processes follow fixed paths and/or involve fixed dispensing rates.
The challenges for aquarium assembly were to dispense silicone at variable rates on
both horizontal and vertical surfaces and to seal glass with an aesthetically appealing
bead, with Universal Robots working collaboratively with operators to maintain high
throughput and quality goals.
